Start your trip with an Arequipa airport pick-up on Day 1 and trek through the stunning Colca Canyon on Days 2&3. Enjoy a free day in Arequipa on Day 4 before taking an overnight bus to Cuzco. You will have a full free day in Cuzco on Day 5 before touring the stunning Sacred Valley on Day 6. Your tour ends after check-out on Day 7.
Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Arequipa Airport Pick-Up
Today you will be picked up at the Arequipa airport upon arrival and transferred to your accommodation for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure (depending on your arrival time) to relax, explore, and get settled in. Overnight in Arequipa.
Day 2: Arequipa - Colca Canyon Trekking (B/L/D)
We will pick you up from your accommodation between 3:00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. and transfer you to Chivay town in the heart of the Colca Canyon. We'll have breakfast and then go directly to “Cruz Del Condor viewpoint” where we will stay for about 1 hour to see the flight of the condors. From here, we will make our way to the Mirador De San Miguel, the starting point of our trekking route. We will begin our hike by walking down to San Juan De Chucchu Village (4-5 hours walking), where we will have lunch. Afterward, we will hike back uphill through Cosnirgua and Malata villages, arriving in Sangalle by the end of the day, where you will have the opportunity to relax in the swimming pool (3-4 hours walking). Enjoy your evening at the lodge, have dinner and get a good night's sleep in Sangalle.
Day 3: Colca Canyon Trekking - Arequipa (B)
Today, we will get an early start at about 5:00 am and begin trekking up to Cabanaconde town where we will have breakfast (3-4 hours steep uphill hike). (Note: There is an option to rent mules for this portion of the trek if you wish). From Cabanaconde, we will take our bus to Chivay Village making a few short stops along the way in Maca, Achoma and Yanque towns. Upon arrival to Chivay we will have lunch and visit the relaxing hot springs in town, the perfect remedy for our tired muscles. On our way back to Arequipa we will stop at Patapampa where we can see beautiful views of the volcanoes (weather permitting) and the Llama & Vicuña Reserve so see these native animals. Relax and enjoy the scenic ride back to Arequipa arriving between 5:30 and 6.00 pm. Overnight in Arequipa.
Day 4: Arequipa Free Day & Overnight Bus to Cuzco (B)
Enjoy a free day to rest up, recover, and explore the charming city of Arequipa on your own. Wander the histroric center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a unique architectural style known as "Escuela Arequipeña" for it’s unique blend of native and colonial traditions. In the evening you will make your own way to the bus station to catch your overnight bus to Cuzco.
Day 5: Cuzco Free Day
After arriving in the early morning, make your way to your accommodation for check-in and enjoy the rest of the day to relax, explore, and get settled in to this cultural, natural, and historical paradise. Overnight in Cuzco.
Day 6: Sacred Valley Day Trip
The Sacred Valley of the Inca Civilization is a magical destination with perhaps some of the most well-preserved archaeological ruins in all of Peru, nestled in the Vilcanota River Valley with picturesque terraces for the cultivation of native crops.
This naturally beautiful countryside is filled with a wealth of colourful indigenous cultures, and on this day trip we will visit 3 towns that exemplify these amazing cultures and their adaptation to colonization and modernization through the years. We will pass through the villages of Pisaq, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero to see ancient Inca archaeological sites and visit indigenous marketplaces with high-quality alpaca wool products and handicrafts. At the end of the day we will return to Cuzco for overnight.

Day 7: Cuzco Accommodation Check-Out
