Newgrange and Knowth are located on the northern bank of the River Boyne and are among Europe’s most remarkable prehistoric sites. There is, among other things, a burial chamber dating from around 3000 BC, which is approximately 73 meters in diameter and 13 meters high. It is circular in shape, made with white and black stones, and covered with earth and grass. Through the Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre, you can enter the burial chamber and see the decorated stones.

Please note that Newgrange and Knowth are extremely popular attractions and therefore require booking up to 6 months in advance.
