One of Poland’s greatest tourist attractions is the 700 old salt mine Wieliczka, 13 km south-east of Krakow. The mine is 300 km long but only 4.5 km of the hallways are available for tourists. It covers nine levels at a depth ranging from 64 to 137 m. The tourist route is located at three upper levels. During the visit you will learn how the workers carved statues, chapels and artistic lakes in salt. It will also be possible to see the post office, the church and the sports hall. Due to the good micro climate in the mine, it was previously used as a treatment center for asthma patients. The visit takes about 2.5 hours and you will be guided by a mandatory guide.
The price is for students.
Entre adults: 46-53 EUR
Valid for groups of min. 20 people.
Busses are restricted in the central part of Krakow. This may mean that you are not able to drive completely to and from your choice of accommodation, if within central Krakow.
Additional information is available when booking with the travel consultant.
