Welcome to Australia and welcome to your Meet Me Melbourne week. Your arrival transfer is pre-booked and will transport you to your Melbourne CBD accommodation. This afternoon you will meet your Meet Me Melbourne group leader and new travel mates at 16:00 where we will get to know each other before making our way to the lively riverside promenade of Melbourne's Southbank precint for our welcome dinner.
We depart the city to begin exploring some popular areas around the state of Victoria. We will explore spectacular Australian coastlines and beaches in addition to getting up close with Aussie wildlife. Our first stop is the famed Grampians Mountains and the famous McKenzie falls! Maybe your first chance to meet kangaroos, cockatoos and kookaburras, as we explore the area take in the stunning views of the mountain range.
Exhilarate your senses with a full day visit to the award-winning coastal oasis known as the Peninsula Hot Springs, only 90mins from Melbourne. An idyllic escape for some much needed relaxation and thermal bathing with over 50 globally-inspired bathing experiences within one Bath House.
This morning we move to the famous beachside hotspot - St Kilda!
Securing you a great job in Australia is our priority for today! You will start with a Working & travel orientation then finalize your bank account. Our work and travel team will make sure you’ve got everything sorted for living and working in Australia, and we’ll get you registered with our WTC jobs program to connect you to our wide network of employers. This afternoon we will hang out at the popular St Kilda Beach and visit the famous promenade.) Tonight, we dress sharp for a group dinner together.
Yet another jam-packed day exploring the Great Otway National Park and the artistic beachside villages of Apollo Bay and Lorne. We will stop for lunch where we can watch Aussie surfers in action at famed beaches such as Bells Beach and Torquay. And of course, there will be photo opportunities at the famous Twelve Apostles.
Melbourne is known for its diverse range of cultures, a fact represented in the food options this city is famous for. Today is spent learning why… This morning we visit the historic city landmark known by the locals as ‘Vic Market’. Located on the northern fringe of the city, this open-air market is a haven for Australian fruit and vegetables, as well as local and imported gourmet foods. In warmer months, these markets come alive and host midweek hangouts for locals. The rest of today is spent exploring the city and getting an understanding of Australia's Cultural hub. Tonight, we will experience Melbourne nightlife with a farewell dinner and Melbourne pub crawl
This morning your first week down under comes to an end. The itinerary is over but your adventure continues. You will have access to our team, mail holding, job guidance and more for your entire time down under.

Before You Start: We’ll sort all the important things you’ll need before you start working in Australia. We’ll have your Aussie Bank Account open with your card and pin ready for when you arrive, along with your Aussie SIM card and Tax File number.
Training Courses: Certain jobs such as bar work and construction require you to complete specific training. We’ll explain what’s needed and can book you onto all necessary training courses after your activity week.
Work and Travel Members: You’ll get exclusive access to our Work and Travel Jobs portal, which includes access to a fully integrated labour hire job agency placing thousands of jobs exclusively available to WTC members only every year. You will also have access to the work and travel members portal which includes lots of useful information including an extensive WTC handbook we recommend reading before you travel

Farm Work & 2nd & 3rd Year Visas: If you do 88 days of regional or farm work in Australia, you can apply for a 2nd Working Holiday Visa. We’ll give you lots more info on this during your introduction, will help you find farm work and will also help you apply for your 2nd Year Visa.
