Sarajevo
In Sarajevo we stay in the Old Town at Pension Kandilj. Kandilj is a newly built accommodation, fully modern while maintaining the Eastern spirit and allowing guests to experience traditional Bosnian atmosphere. All rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with TV, direct phone line, broadband internet, bathroom and toilet.
Sutjeska National Park
In Sutjeska National Park we use Hotel Mladost. This hotel has recently been reconstructed and provides very basic but comfortable accommodation. Rooms are private, with en-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi and the usual modern comforts.
Tara River
At Tara Rafting Camp we will stay at simple wooden bungalows next to the river where you will enjoy the sound of water and the campfire - and definitely have one of the best nights on your Balkan adventure! The bungalows are basic and relatively small with 2-3 beds and bedding. Toilets and showers are shared.
Transportation (8+1 minivan or 20+1 minibus) is included during the entire trip (except airport arrival/departure transfers).
Airport Shuttle
There is a direct bus line from the airport to the city center (Baščaršija) operated by Centrotrans Eurolines. Buses run every day of the week and coincide with the flight schedule. A one-way ticket costs approx. 5BAM (2.5EUR) and 8 BAM (4EUR)is the price of a return ticket (not included).
During the summer, the bus runs every day from the airport to the city center at the following times: 5:30, 06:3, 07:15, 08:45, 11:15, 13:15, 13:50, 15:10, 16:40, 17:30, 20:40 and 22:00.
One piece of luggage (up to 23kg) is included in the price, but there is a charge of 5KM for each additional piece of luggage, as well as for bags that exceed 23kg.
Shuttle bus departures from Dubrovnik to the Airport are from the Main Bus Station in Gruž Port and trip duration is 30 to 40 minutes. Exact departure hours and buses frequency depends from the season period. Tickets are bought on the bus, a one-way ticket is 50 Croatian Kuna (7 EUR), while a return ticket is 80 Croatian Kuna.
Taxi
Taxis in Sarajevo are among the cheapest in Europe and a few taxi companies in the city operate 24 hours a day. There is a Sarajevo Taxi rank at the entrance to the airport near Terminal B.Taxis also stop along the wide street near the airport, so you catch a cab at almost any moment as they pass by.
Taxi fares are paid exclusively in cash (not included). A ride from the airport to Baščaršija should cost between 10EUR and 15EUR (cost can be shared up to 3 people).
The taxi cost from Dubrovnik Old town (and closer surrounding) to the Airport can vary from 30 to 50EUR (cost can be shared up to 3 people).
Breakfast across the Balkans usually consists of bread and pastries, dairy products such as yoghurt and cheese, cereal, eggs cooked in a variety of ways, smoked meats, honey, tea and coffee, milk and juices. Breakfasts will be a choice of a warm or cold set meal. Lunches will be picnics including bread, cheese, sausage, meat and vegetarian pate, salad, chocolate bars, cookies, trail mix, and coffee/tea. Lunch and dinner at the Tara Rafting Camp are 3 courses and include soup, a selection of traditionally prepared meat and/or grilled local trout, vegetables and a dessert. Drinks are only included at breakfast.
