Meet up at Go Beyond's Travel Center in the early morning and we'll set off for the airport. The flight to Lukla takes about an hour so enjoy a glimpse of your upcoming adventure as you gaze at the incredible mountain views of the Himalayan Range. After we arrive and meet with the crew in Lukla, we'll head up to the Dudh Koshi River Valley on a well-marked trail to Phakding. We'll trek around 4 hours and reach an elevation of 2,600m.

We'lll continue northwards following the Dudh Koshi River and onto Jorsale where we'll enter the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park. From here, it's a short walk to the confluence of two rivers, the lmja Drangpa (Imja Khola) and the Nangpo Tsangpo (Bhote Kosi) where we'll cross on a suspension bridge. Prepare for a steep 2 hour climb up to Namche Bazaar, the main town in the Khumbu region. Namche is a prosperous Sherpa town and an important trading center. We'll trek six to seven hours and reach an elevation of 3,440m.

Today is free at leisure to help you acclimatize to the elevation. If you're feeling up for it take a walk and explore the village. Namche Bazaar is tucked away between two ridges amongst the giant peaks of the Khumbu, it is the gateway to the high Himalaya.

From Namche, we'll walk the trail contours around the side of the valley high above the river. As you go, there's a magnificent view over the great peaks of Khumbu which includes Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam. After a steep downhill trek to the river at Phunki Tenga, we'll have a long steep climb up through the beautiful forest to the lodge where we'll spend the night. Tyangboche is famous for its legendary monastery, which is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region. We'll be staying near the monastery surrounded by a panoramic view of the Himalayan mountains, including the well-known peaks of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We'll trek six hours and reach an elevation of 3,860m.

We'll start descending through stunning forest heading onto the trail to get to Deboche. We'll walk across the river and continue a short climb up to Pangboche. The village is inhabited mainly by Sherpas and Sungdare Sherpa, native ethnic groups from this village. Once we arrive at our destination, we'll visit the old Pangboche monastery. The monastery was famous for its purported yeti scalp and hand, the latter of which was stolen. We'll trek 3 hours and reach an elevation of 3,930m.

We'll start the day with a downhill walk from Pangboche up to the river and across the bridge. Then we'll face a steep uphill for about two hours and then two more hours of a more gradual uphill, which take us to our next destination - Ama Dablam Basecamp. Once we've arrived, we'll have time to explore the basecamp and capture the surroundings with our cameras to record this once in a lifetime view. After spending some time admiring Ama Dablam, we'll retrace our steps back to Pangboche. We'll trek six to seven hours and reach an elevation of 4,600m.

The landscape is spectacular today, we'll be taking the mountain edge trail heading towards Phortse. We'll walk the steep downhill trail to the Dudh Koshi River and continue walking the uphill trail to Phortse Thanga. From Phortse Thanga, we'll take a pleasant walk to the beautiful village of Khumjung. We'll visit a monastery that has a purported Yeti scalp and then visit a school built by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1961. We'll trek six hours and reach an elevation of 3,790m.

Today we'll be leaving beautiful Khumjung village and follow the level walking trail to Khunde. Khunde is located in the western part of the valley and is slighty higher than Khumjung. From here we'll visit the Khunde Hospital founded by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1966 and pass by the monastery of Khunde. After passing the Syangboche airport at the height of 3,720 meters, we'll start our gradual downhill walk and turn our direction to Thamo. The gradual uphill walk from Thamo will take us to the village of Thame. Thame is s small Sherpa village and an old salt trading route between Tibet, Nepal and India. The monastery at Thame is one of the oldest monasteries in Khumbu region and Thame village is the home of famous Sherpa climbers. We'll trek five hours and reach an elevation of 3,800m.

Today, we'll enjoy a less crowded route compared to the main trail to the Everest Basecamp. Admire the beautiful landscape, mountain view, and Sherpa culture along the way. After arriving in Namche, we'll follow the main Everest trail to Monjo. Monjo lies in the Dudh Kosi river valley just north of Phakding and south of Jorsale and is where we'll be staying for the night. We'll trek six hours and reach an elevation of 2,835m.

The last day of our trek, we'll follow and cross the glacier stream to reach Phakding then continue another few hours to reach Lukla. We'll trek around 5 hours.

We'll wake up early to catch a short flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival we'll take a van back to Go Beyond's Travel Center. Take a rest and good luck on your next adventure!
