Upon arrival in Costa Rica once passing migrations, baggage claim and customs, you will get to the arrival exit where you will meet and greet with our representative (holding a sign bearing your name). Our guide will check with you your travel details, in case there is any doubt and will provide you with transportation to your hotel. The drive from the airport to the hotel takes 25 minutes approximately.

Day 3: La Fortuna / Monteverde
Shared lake crossing transfer Arenal - Monteverde
Your day begins with a land transfer from your hotel in Arenal to Lake Arenal (approximately 40 minutes), where you will board a boat operated by an experienced captain. During the lake crossing (approximately 1 hour), enjoy panoramic views of the impressive Arenal Volcano and the lush green hills that surround it. This scenic, safe, and comfortable journey offers a charming perspective of the region’s natural beauty.
Upon arrival at Rio Chiquito, you will continue by minibus to your hotel in Monteverde (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes), traveling through rural areas and mountainous landscapes characteristic of the region. Estimated arrival is around 10:30.
Departure: 07:30.

Things to consider for a trip to Costa Rica
▪ Copies of passport.
▪ Sunscreen and insect repellent.
▪ Shirts: cotton or light synthetic, long- and short-sleeved.
▪ Dry fit clothing: cotton or light synthetic pants and shorts. Bring at least 2 sets of clothes that dry quickly (jeans not recommended and too slow to dry).
▪ Footwear: waterproof, light-weight hiking boots, river sandals (Teva-type sandals), tennis shoes/running shoes. If you do not bring hiking boots, make sure you bring TWO pairs of tennis shoes.
