What happens in inclement weather?

Our tours run rain or shine. In the case of severe inclement weather, tours will be canceled and a full refund will be provided.

How should I dress for the tour?

Dress for the day’s weather and wear comfortable walking shoes - you will be on your feet for most of the tour! If you are taking a tour that includes a church visit, please dress appropriately and refrain from wearing flip-flops, tank tops, or shorts.

Black Out Dates

Tours do not run on the following days:

Martin Luther King Jr. Day (the 3rd Monday in January every year)
Memorial Day (the last Monday of May every year)
July 4th
Labor Day (the 1st Monday in September every year)
Thanksgiving Day (the 4th Thursday of November every year) and the Friday after Thanksgiving
Christmas Day (25th December)
New Year’s Day.

Meeting & End Locations

Meet your guide in front of the Museum of the American Indian - 1 Bowling Green, New York, NY 10004. Departure Time: 13:00 on Saturdays and 11:00 on Wednesdays. We suggest arriving at least 15 minutes before the departure time.
The guide will be holding up a red Inside Out Tours flag.
Tour ends at African Burial Ground National Monument - Broadway between Duane Street and Reade Street.
