Wawel Royal Castle is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. For centuries, it was the seat of Polish kings and has been a museum since 1930. It collects works of art historically or artistically related to Wawel and Polish rulers (e.g. paintings, prints, sculptures, fabrics, militaria, porcelain and furniture). The castle has six permanent exhibitions - Representative Royal Chambers and Private Royal Apartments, the Crown Treasury and the Armory, Oriental Art, The Lost Wawel and Wawel Recovered.
